Features

Map Features: Maps show carrier route boundaries, ZIP Code boundaries, highways, major roads and local streets. Carrier routes made up of PO Boxes only are not shown on the map.
Demographics: Carrier routes are shaded by the chosen demographic in ranges. The exact demographic value is not shown.
Map Size: Map dimensions will depend on the geography chosen. Please call us at 800-762-5158 for more information.
Map Delivery: Maps are delivered in PDF format, via email, within one business day.
Order Requirements: Multiple ZIP Code maps require that the ordered ZIP Codes be adjacent.

Reports

Report Types: Two types of reports are available with this map, Basic and Enhanced. Please note that demographic values are not included in either of these report types.
Basic Reports: Include the following information for carrier routes within the ordered area: carrier route ID, ZIP Code, carrier route code, postal town name, county, state, type of ZIP Code, and enclosing carrier route. The enclosing carrier route tells you which mapped carrier route a PO Box route falls in. Click here to download a sample Basic Report.
Enhanced Reports: Include all the information in the Basic Report, plus the US Postal Service delivery counts for each carrier route: total residential delivery count, multi-family delivery count, single-family delivery count, PO Box delivery count and business delivery count. Click here to download a sample Enhanced Report. Enhanced Reports for radius maps will also include the distance between each carrier route and the center point for the map.

Report Delivery: Reports are delivered in Excel format (.xls), via email, within one business day.

The specifications below describe the map and report you would receive. We believe you should know exactly what to expect when you order a map from Maponics. On the ordering page you can download samples. If you have any questions, please call us at 800-762-5158.

Map Specifications
* Maps will include carrier route boundaries, ZIP Code boundaries, highways and local streets.
* All carrier routes on the map will be labeled with the 4-digit carrier route code. Some labels may overlap. PO Box only routes do not have a delivery area and will not appear on the map. The USPS changes carrier route areas frequently; our data is updated monthly. Minor discrepancies may occur.
* Carrier routes with center points within the ordered area will be shaded by ranges using the demographic variable you chose. Ranges and colors will be determined by Maponics to best represent the spread of data. Specific demographic values will not be shown.
... Maponics licenses high-quality 2007 demographic data from EASI, Inc. This data is updated by EASI using sophisticated mathematical models to achieve accuracy and Maponics uses a proprietary method to aggregate by carrier route. However, because ZIP Codes and carrier routes change frequently, there may be areas for which no data is available. Such areas will not be shaded and will be indicated as "Data Not Available" in the map legend.
* Local streets will be labeled as possible. In cases where labels overlap because of high density of streets, the labels will NOT be allowed to overlap. In cases where a street name would overlap with a carrier route code label, the carrier route will have priority.
* The map legend will include symbols, colors, and labels for all map elements. Maponics reserves the right to modify colors as appropriate to achieve the best cartographic representation.
* Each map will include the Maponics logo information and any applicable copyright notices. Any duplication, digital or paper, in whole or in part must retain this information.

Report Specifications

*Reports:
Two report options are available: Basic and Enhanced.

...Basic Reports include the following information for each carrier route in the ordered area:
Carrier route ID
ZIP Code
Carrier route code
Postal town name (The town name the US Postal Service associates with the ZIP Code.)
County
State
Type of ZIP Code: unique (usually single institutions or companies), PO Box (made up of Post Office boxes only), non-unique (ZIP Codes with delivery areas and often PO boxes as well). Unique and PO Box ZIP Codes do not appear on the map.
Enclosing carrier route (The mapped carrier route that contains the location of the PO Box only route.)

...Enhanced Reports include all the information in the basic list, plus the following:
Distance from the carrier route to the center point of the map (Included for radius maps only.)
US Postal Service Total residential delivery count
US Postal Service Multi-family delivery count
US Postal Service Single-family delivery count
US Postal Service PO Box count
US Postal Service Business delivery count
