SPECIFICATION

INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR ORDER
PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING

The specifications below describe the map and report you will receive. We believe you should know exactly what to expect when you order from Maponics. A sample map and report are available on this page. If you have any questions, please call us at 800-762-5158.

MAP:
* The map image will show ZIP Code boundaries and labels, carrier route boundaries and labels, highways, major roads, and local streets.
* The ordered radius will be shown and labeled. Carrier routes with center points falling within the radius will be shaded yellow.
* ZIP Codes will be labeled with the 5-digit ZIP Code. Unique ZIP Codes (usually single institutions or companies) and PO Box only ZIP Codes will not be not shown.
* All carrier routes will be labeled with the 4-digit carrier route code. Some labels may overlap. Post Office Box routes will not appear. The USPS changes carrier route areas frequently. Maponics updates our carrier route data quarterly, however minor discrepancies may occur.
* Local streets will be labeled as space permits. When street labels would overlap because of high density of streets, labels will NOT be allowed to overlap. In cases where a street name would overlap with a carrier route code label, the carrier route will have priority. Street data is updated quarterly.
* The map legend will include symbols, colors, and labels for all map elements. Maponics reserves the right to modify colors as appropriate to achieve the best cartographic representation. Custom coloring, labeling, and feature display are available for additional charges.
* Each map will include the Maponics logo information and any applicable copyright notices. Any duplication, digital or paper, in whole or in part must retain this information.

REPORT:
* A Basic Report will be provided with the map, unless an Enhanced Report is specifically ordered.
* Basic Reports include the following fields for each carrier route in the county (including PO Box routes):
Carrier route ID
ZIP Code
Carrier route code
Postal town name
County
State
ZIP Code type
Enclosing carrier route (The enclosing carrier route field is relevant only for PO Box carrier routes, and tells you in which carrier route delivery area the PO Box route falls.)
*Enhanced Reports include the following fields in addition to those in the Basic Report:
Distance (the distance between the center point of the carrier route and the center point location of the radius)
Total residential delivery count (the sum of the single family, multi-family, and PO Box delivery counts) (from the US Postal Service)
Single family delivery count (from the US Postal Service)
Multi-family delivery count (from the US Postal Service)
PO Box count (from the US Postal Service)
Business delivery count (from the US Postal Service)

FORMAT AND DELIVERY
* Maps and Reports are provided in digital format, and delivered via email.
* Maps are provided in PDF format, with an image size between 8.5"x11" and 4'x4', depending on the radius ordered. If you are planning on printing your map and need to know how large the image will be, please call us: 800-762-5158.
* Reports are delivered in Microsoft Excel format.
