INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR ORDER
PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING

The specifications below describe the maps you would receive. We believe you should know exactly what to expect when you order a map from Maponics. A sample of this type of map is available on this page. If you have any questions, please call us at 800-762-5158.

* Map image will include ZIP Code boundaries, county boundaries, and highways.
* ZIP Code areas will be outlined and labeled with the 5-digit ZIP code. The USPS changes ZIP code areas frequently. Our data is updated monthly; minor discrepancies may occur.
... ZIP codes will also be labeled with the postal town name
... Unique ZIP Codes (usually single institutions or companies) and PO Box only ZIP Codes are not shown.
... Some labels may overlap
* ZIP Codes with center points within the ordered area will be shaded by ranges using the demographic variable you chose. Ranges and colors will be determined by Maponics to best represent the spread of data. Specific demographic values will not be shown.
... Maponics licenses high-quality 2007 demographic data from EASI, Inc. This data is updated by EASI using sophisticated mathematical models to achieve accuracy and Maponics uses a proprietary method to aggregate by carrier route. However, because ZIP Codes change frequently, there may be areas for which no data is available. Such areas will not be shaded and will be indicated as "Data Not Available" in the map legend.
* County areas will be outlined and labeled.
* Highways will be labeled with appropriate shields. In cases where a highway changes into a non-highway classified road, the highway may appear to "end".
* RADIUS MAPS ONLY: The center point address will be shown as a red star. A radius ring showing the radius you orders will be shown and labeled " _ Miles".
* The map legend will include symbols, colors, and labels for all map elements. Maponics reserves the right to modify colors as appropriate to achieve the best cartographic representation. Custom coloring, labeling, and feature display are available for additional charges.
* Each map will include the Maponics logo information and any applicable copyright notices. Any duplication, digital or paper, in whole or in part must retain this information.

*Reports:

...Unless otherwise ordered, a Basic Report for the ZIP Codes on your map area will be included with this map. For each ZIP Code with a center point within the ordered radius the following information will be given:
ZIP Code
Postal town name (The town name the US Postal Service associates with the ZIP Code.)
County
State
Type of ZIP Code: unique (usually single institutions or companies), PO Box (made up of Post Office boxes only), non-unique (ZIP Codes with delivery areas and often PO boxes as well. Unique and PO Box ZIP Codes will not appear on the map.)
Enclosing ZIP Code (The mapped ZIP Code that contains the location of the PO Box or unique ZIP Code.)

...If an Enhanced Report is ordered, the list provided will include all the information in the basic list, plus the following:
Distance between the center point and the ZIP Code
Total residential delivery count
US Postal Service Multi-family delivery count
US Postal Service Single-family delivery count
US Postal Service Business delivery count
US Postal Service PO Box count

No demographic data is included in either the Basic or Enhanced Reports.

* Maps are provided via email in PDF format. The map image size will be between 8.5x11 inches and 4'x6', depending on the area ordered and the density of the area being mapped. Reports are in Excel format.
